Rustic X Console Table

April 14, 2016 · 3 Comments

I’ve long been in love with this table from Ana White. Love, love, love the Xs.

Ana White Rustic X Console TableI love console tables in general, but I don’t really have a place to put a nice long one like this.  Well I didn’t.  Then I did a little master bedroom refresh, and when my sister suggested I put something longer under the TV, I immediately envisioned this table.  I finally had an excuse to make it!

I did need to customize it though.  I went through several iterations of the design… as I was building it. To start, I shortened it, because the length was just too long to fit on my wall.  Then I decided I didn’t want a middle shelf because quite frankly, I didn’t have anything to put on it.

I originally had a stretcher across the bottom, and then at the last minute, as in after I’d already started filling nail holes and painting, I decided to add onto the stretcher to make it a shelf.  I needed to hide some of my TV cords, so I bought a woven basket from TJMaxx and a blanket, and viola… cords somewhat hidden.  One day I hope to thread the cords through the wall and back out at cable box and DVD player… one day.

For now though, I’m enjoying my new table, and having a place to put some pics and decor, like this beautiful, free desktop wallpaper I printed.  Be Still… perfect for a bedroom.

      Hi Kelsey,
The console is 64″ long, 33 1/2″ high, and 16 1/2″ deep. Hope this helps!
