It is scary! I purchased my first house off MLS, but around here the publicly listed ones are really bid up, squeezing any profits. You may be able to make the leap to auctions after a few houses. Good luck!

We have only had the guts to buy houses off of the MLS, but I know we are paying a premium for them. It is so scary paying so much for a house you have never been inside of!
