Wow! We are finally here! In case you thought I had forgotten to update you on the flip house, rest assured, I haven’t. I’ve just been… well, you know… life.
But it’s a new year, and I’m happy to show you a “new” house 🙂 If you’ve forgotten, here is what she used to look like. (Click here for an introduction to the Angler).
Ok, ok, if you’re lazy like me, and already have 471 tabs open, I’ll refresh your memory right here and include some “before” pics, because it’s so much more fun that way anyway.
Exterior
Exterior Now
Outside, we took away the wheelchair ramp, cleaned out the overgrowth in the planter, added some landscaping, painted the shutters, got a new front door, repaired the deck, and installed new shingles.
Kitchen
So the kitchen was really the central piece to the plan for this house. Heck, the kitchen is what spawned the nickname. In case you don’t remember, the kitchen hadn’t been updated since it was built. One wall was angled to fit in a refrigerator. And its footprint was very much limited given the placement of a chimney and the basement steps. We considered lots of options, including flipping the basement steps, but in the end we settled on removing the chimney. It was enough of a step to dramatically change the utility of this space. We added in a dishwasher, additional counter and cabinet space, room for a full-sized refrigerator, and a pantry.
Kitchen Now
The kitchen got an all new makeover. New cabinets, appliances, lights, counters, and floors. It had its hiccups, but it feels so fresh, bright and functional now.
Living Area
Living Area Now
If you don’t recall, this house is small and doesn’t have a dedicated dining room. We did manage to tuck in a small table by the window, but the truth is, the living area is really quite large and therefore flexible enough to have room for a full-sized table. There are a lot of possibilities depending on the needs of the new owner.
This room received new lighting, flooring, and paint. There is a lot of natural light in here, and we brought in more with the window in the front door.
Bathroom
While the kitchen change was dramatic, the bathroom gave it a run for its money.
Bathroom Now
This room is a testament to the magic of paint! We also added a new vanity which gave some storage room.

I hope you’ve enjoyed your tour! I am of course excited to get it on the market. For now, I can work on projects at my own house and start moving into the garage. (more on that soon!)
Happy Weekend!

Amazing! What a beautiful transformation! What did you do to the bathroom floor? ( if this is a duplicate comment, it’s because I think I forgot to click POST on the prior one)

Hi Jennifer,
The floor was painted with a special tile paint. I don’t know the exact products as our painter did this. But done properly, tile can totally be painted!
