Happy Friday folks.
How can it be Friday already? I don’t know where this week has gone. But being busy sure does make time fly! I’m in my first month of all my children being in school, and time has only sped up more. How can that be?
I promised you last week I would share my kitchen ideas for the flip. And here they are!
I shared with you last week the gray cabinet doors, which will be for the base cabinets, and the flooring. The wall cabinets will be white, and that’s about as far as I’ve gotten in terms of solid decisions. I do know the walls will be Sherwin Williams Site White, which is a very pale gray, practically white. For the backsplash, I am considering a marble mosaic or possibly a pretty shaped scalloped ceramic tile. Or I may just use the marble for the sink wall and a basic subway for the other walls. Tough decisions!
I am bringing in some wood accents, including wooden knobs and (hopefully handmade) wood pulls. I’m back and forth between a solid white and a light wood countertop, and the light fixture is one I’ve purchased for over the sink. Once the cabinets start going in, it will hopefully be easier to make the tile and countertop decisions.
I’m still waiting for my gray cabinets to get here – I REALLY can’t wait to see the color. And I also can’t wait to assemble them. Here’s to hoping they are as simple as IKEA cabs. 😉
