Is anyone else feeling it? That excited feeling that starts creeping in this time of year in eager anticipation of the special season ahead? Putting together these Thanksgiving ideas has certainly warmed me up from the inside.
I am one of those people who hates the phrase “I’m looking forward to…” because at the very core of it, you’re focusing forward and not living in the now. It’s a constant battle of just being human… to try to live in the moment and not for the future. But I certainly enjoy the boost of excitement I feel at times like these. I like to let it lift my spirits while trying to live for today. And there is certainly planning to be done sooner rather than later, because the better we plan, the easier it is to enjoy the moment!
Hallie and I started off the week with a slightly more formal table setting with rich natural greens and browns. We set the table using dishes and linens we already had, as well as decor from the back yard and produce aisle!
We then shared a more casual table setting, with creamy oranges and blues, that is perfect for a buffet style meal.
After we covered decor, we shared some tips and thoughts on how to approach prepping your home and the meal, while reducing your stress and helping you to enjoy your day.
We really hope you have enjoyed this series, and we hope it helps to reduce your stress and enjoy all the wonderful things we have to be grateful for.
Happy Thanksgiving!
