Yesterday I shared with you the exterior and downstairs of this beautiful colonial. Today I’m taking you upstairs to the hall bath and master suite.
I shared my plans and inspiration board for this bath here. Again, we kept the vanity but updated it with a new top and faucet and new hardware.
This one was a big transformation! I also previewed this room in this post (Master Bath at the Cliffhanger). I’ll start with a few befores.
I love this room! It’s open, airy, relaxing, and ALL done on a budget! I had to give a close up on those faceted knobs, but it still doesn’t do them justice. The herringbone tile behind the vanity adds in texture and interest. When our plans for this room drastically changed, my splurge tile went out the window, but this mosaic gave the same effect. We fully tiled the shower and included a coordinating marble niche. To take advantage of all the light streaming in the window, we opened up the shower wall. But the real star of the show is this soaking tub beneath these beautiful windows! Ahhh….
Sourcing this room was a challenge, but it paid off. Please check my sources here to help guide you along if you are looking to do a budget master bath reno.
