Happy Friday! So I may not have a ton to show you guys, but it is exciting to see things progressing. Outside, the deck boards and rails were replaced, and it is feeling much nicer (and more sturdy) 🙂
Inside, we have floors! Unfortunately, we decided to not refinish the hardwood floors. There were just too many rotten areas, and we were concerned that even after replacing those pieces and refinishing them, they just still wouldn’t look great. It’s hard to cover up hardwood floors, but I think in this case, it was the right answer. I wanted something on the lighter side, so I picked TrafficMaster Allure Country Pine. Oh, and see that wall? It’s straight!! The electrician also came in to add recessed lighting to the kitchen. Here’s the before as well as the “now.”
In other exciting news (I use that word in all seriousness, this stuff excites me!), I ordered the base kitchen cabinets. The are JSI cabinets, and I will need to assemble them, but it’s only 4 cabinets, so it shouldn’t be a problem (famous last words, right?) Hoping they go smoothly – I can’t wait for them to arrive!
Here is the door front. I ordered these blind and can’t wait to see the actual color in person.
My plans for the bathroom are also starting to take shape. I will share them with you all once I’ve gotten a better idea of the whole picture.
Have a wonderful weekend!
